Formed in 2001, Calvin Edwards & Company is a boutique consulting firm, created to advise major donors regarding their support of charitable organizations.

Our purpose is to transform the way philanthropists make giving decisions so they maximize the good that their giving accomplishes and, in doing so, to raise the quality and effectiveness of nonprofit management.

To accomplish this, we draw upon a team of professionals with extensive careers in nonprofit executive management and governance, and business marketing and operations. Our staff and partners have extensive experience in community service and volunteering.

Are we fundraisers?

No, we are not fundraisers. We work exclusively for donors. Our uncompromised commitment is to provide independent, objective advice to donors and grant makers. Therefore, we do not perform work directly for an operating publicly supported charity. Nor do we accept any fees from such entities.


Are we financial advisors?

No, we are not financial advisors. We do not advise an donor finances. We do no estate planning, planned giving, tax minimization strategies, or insurance sales, though we can refer to capable professionals if needed. Our sale focus is on helping clients give effectively, and maximize the good they accomplish.
